One thing that I learned from one of my UP professors is that when you want to accomplish something, always start with something small. The thing is, if you set up your goal too high, you might end up not doing it at all. For example, when we were young a lot of us used to have piggy banks right? And when we are saving for something, let's say a toy, we don't put in hundred bills in there all at once. Instead, we put coins and if we do just that long enough, those coins might sum up to the amount that we need to buy that toy we wanted. :)
In my case I want to do good for the environment but I am not to set my goal as:
stop global warming!!!...nor even...stop water crisis in the Philippines!!!
That would just be insane. So as a small step on my way of achieving those "impossible" goals, I have decided to pick up one piece of garbage each day. I know it seems nothing but think about it, if all UP student join me, we might end up with a litter free campus. Now wouldn't that just be great?
